The coroner has released the name of the Rockford man who was fatally shot
Chris GreenThe identity of a 21-year-old man fatally shot Monday has been released by the Winnebago County Coroner's Office.
The victim is Letrevion Starnes of Rockford.
About 2:10 p.m. Monday, Rockford police and firefighters responded to the 1900 block of Price Street for a shooting victim. When police arrived, they found Starnes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Rockford firefighters treated the man and transported him to a Rockford hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:51 p.m.
An autopsy showed Starnes died from multiple gunshot wounds.
No arrests have been made. Rockford police are investigating.
